Michigan Summer Fruits

Summer is when Michigan’s orchards, berry patches, and fruit stands come alive. Thanks to the moderating effect of the Great Lakes, the state produces some of the best fruit in the country—especially cherries, blueberries, and apples. The season builds steadily from early strawberries in June to peaches, plums, and melons by August.
